INTERNATIONAL MOVEMENT
FOR THE RESPECT OF CHILDREN’S RIGHTS
Today we remember the slaughter of children in Ramadi, Iraq, February 27th 2007. It has been a premeditated massacre to kill children who were playing.
This massacre has been caused by a bomb that killed 12 children and 6 women.
It hasn’t been a war act, but a criminal act toward those children who were the symbol of the future of a Country.
They were playing, they were building their world, they were having the right to friendship thanks to the most popular game: football.
The defense of children in war is an obligation by the international human right.
Ginevra Conventions states a special protection for children who must be cared in hard situations.
International Movement for the respect of Children’s Rights was born February 27th 2009; its aim is represented by the 13 points of “Manifesto”
