International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies

DESCRIPTION:
It was born in 1919, at the end of the First Word War. The Big War underlined that Red Cross Society had to collaborate. Thanks to the President of Amercian Red Cross – War Committee – Henry Davidson, the first union of red ross was born and it became a Federation in 1991. Red Crescent Society represents Muslim societies yhat have joined International Red Cross; symbol was chosen by Turkey in 1876 when it refused to use the cross. The International Committee recognized it officially so many Islam Countries have adopted it.
