DESCRIPTION:
Exhibition was born to celebrate the 500th birthday of Luigi Lilio (1510-1576), doctor and astronomer from Cirò, in Calabria Region. Visitors can admire some rare documents like “Kompendium novae rationis restituendi Kalendarium”, “Lunario Novo secondo la nuova riforma dell’anno”, manuscripts about calendars as well as  the “atlas caelestis” by Andrea Cellario.

On Friday, the Calendar “Il tempo di Luigi Lilio, il ciclio del tempo, il viaggio”, 12 works realized by students of Artistic Lyceum of Crotone.
During the same day, professors Alfredo Focà and Pierfrancesco Riccardi will talk about “Lilio and the time cycle”.
