Children and young people toward Europe
We are assisting at large migrations that are creating many problems in the whole European area. Italy is the most important door of our continent, thousands of people cross the border every year and among them there are too many unaccompanied, alone children.
The problematic reasons could create further social tenses that are resetting a whole generation, in addition to the many wars and the misused resources. Children and young people are mainly facing violence, exploitation and deprivation; they haven’t received the culture of their fathers and they have no future.
We can see that rights are encroached on, but what can we do?
It’s necessary to talk about it every day, to avoid that ideological reasons justify human carnages.
It’s also important to listen to anyone who works at the “edge of welcome” and need, so that their experience will be precious and useful for new actions and a better life.
