165 million of children in the world, younger than 5 years of age, are suffering from rickets and they will not be able to reach their physical and cognitive development.
In the same world more than 40 million of children, younger than 5 years of age, are overweight, suffering from diabetes or other diseases and risking stroke; the number of overweight children is estimated to be 150 million.
The economy of a Country is valuated on its capacity to offer health and a good food balance.
Despite of important improvement in many Countries, the right to feed has not been realized yet. It is necessary to consider also food availability, because food production is thought to increase of 50% within year 2050 to satisfy the global growing demand.
The large food availabilities in many wealthy Countries and, referred to Italy, the culture and the tradition favour the future of nutrition and preparation addressed to children. Sustainability is the new horizon we have to reach, so that the Earth will be able to host people for many other years.
